3 Ways to Organize and Achieve Goals in 2026!
Well friends, we made it! Another year has come and gone and another chance for a fresh start. January is the month of dreams. We dream of what the new year will bring and what we will accomplish. Make this year the year your dreams and plans come to life. In a BIG way! Organization is the key. By following a few rules for yourself, you will self-teach new practices and disciplines that will help to launch forward all of those dreams to reality. Consistency is key to changing habits and moving forward. Here are a few tools I find have helped me tremendously during my own habit changing transformation.
Begin Each Day with a Few Minutes of Positive Meditation
It is important to start each day with a clear mind and focused intention. Whenever I start a day this way, everything I want to accomplish seems to naturally fall into place. My day seems “happier” too! The bottom line is, it just feels good to get things done. One step at a time.
- Find a quiet place to sit. I personally like very early in the morning before the sun rises and the house is very still, but you can do this at any time you arise. Sitting with your feet firmly planted side by side on the floor, sit up straight with hands resting on the top of your lap, palms facing down.
- Close your eyes and breath long slow breaths in and out. Notice how connected you feel? This is a wonderful time for prayer and inviting God to be part of your day. Smile and foresee the beauty in all you plan to do, even the simplest of tasks or mundane chores.
- This step takes only 5-10 minutes of time, but may be the MOST impactful practice you can do to begin your day. If you would like more ides and/or devotional inspirations, click here to sign up.

Use a Daily Planner
Invest in a good daily planner. Then make it a priority to OPEN your planner every morning. Write down your thoughts and plans for the day. Use inspiration such as sticky notes and/or pretty stickers to keep you motivated and on schedule. Make this a fun task you look forward to each morning. I love my planner (honestly I don’t know how I managed things with out one in previous years!) and rely on it to help me manage my time and energy to be the most productive.

Here are a few of my favorite planners:
Planned and Proper Planner (My choice for this year, shown in photo above) Customize with name, inspirational quote, and layout. Choose from several color/pattern choices. All are beautiful!
Day Designer Planner Beautiful planner that ships quickly from Amazon.
Tuun Fuplan Planner Another beautiful planner which ships quickly from Amazon. This one is budget friendly.
Start a Daily Journal
Last, but not at all least, get into the habit of writing in your daily journal. Pen and paper are powerful inspiration! A journal is a wonderful accompaniment to your daily planner. Here you can write down additional thoughts, plans, ideas, drawings, etc… Sometimes the best ideas come when you least expect it, so if possible keep your journal (and pen) nearby at all times. You will be so glad you didn’t skip this important detail!
Laura Ashley Journal This is the journal I am using this year (shown in photo). It is simple and beautiful with signature Laura Ashley rose patten cover with a really pretty scalloped edge. It also comes in a pretty stripe pattern.
And don’t forget the stickers!
I use a wide assortment of pretty stickers in both my planner and journal to add a touch a lovely inspiration to the entries. Here are Amazon inks to the stickers I love: Aesthetic Planner Stickers (my absolute favorite!), Canvas Asterisk, Blue Sky, Beautiful Garden (Tiny Seeds), Garden Secret. See Photo below.

One More Bonus Idea
At the beginning of each year I like to come up with a personal inspirational word which is repeated to myself each morning. This word can be anything you choose to motivate and inspire for goals throughout the coming year. The Planned & Proper Planner includes a special page inside for adding your “word of the year”!
My personal word for 2026 is “Productive“. Too often I find myself in a rut of getting nothing done. It seems that when I am overwhelmed with tasks to accomplish, I end up doing nothing because I do not know where to begin. Does this sound familiar? This is why I came up with my simple 3 step plan. So that I can be more productive each and every day; finally able to accomplish the plans I have dreamt of.
