When envisioning this website, I dreamed of a space that would be both inspiring and tranquil. A relaxing and uplifting experience as a free gift to readers out of my love and devotion to all things graceful and lovely.

But in order to achieve this dream, I knew right away that placing flashy and distracting ads on this website would diminish its purpose. Not only would they interrupt the peaceful experience for visitors, but I would have little control over the types of ads placed on this site. These ads are often promoting items that I do not use myself, or would ever recommend to my readers.

Certainly, I could gather commissions on ad-clicks and sales from merchandise listed on these ads, which would be helpful in maintaining this website, but the end result would be contradictory to my vision. However, as traffic continues to rise, so does the cost of maintaining this website, hosting etc… and the vision of offering visitors my free gift is becoming more of a financial burden.

How you can help keep this site Ad-Free

As the air turns crisp and the season takes full b As the air turns crisp and the season takes full breath, I am reminded of the gentle pulse which sweeps us towards another New England winter.  The trees begin to bare revealing their delicate silhouette; nestling beneath the surface for a long winters rest.

We can learn from the trees. We can pause and take a moment to reflect and rest. Although the winters here can be long and cold, I'd miss them if they ceased. I'd miss the blessed opportunity to rest. Always reminding myself that Autumn, now transitioning to the pause of winter, is also God's gentle and unceasing promise of spring.

The famous scripture verse Psalm 23:2-3 reminds me of God's intention that we remember to rest and renew. And as always, God speaks to us through His creation using nature to guide and inspire.

He makes me to lie down in green pastures;
He leads me beside the still waters.
He restores my soul;
He leads me in the paths of righteousness
For His name's sake.

Psalm 23:2-3
